Ha! PT pain is so far in the future as to not be on the radar yet! He told DH it would be the full 8 weeks non weight-bearing.Thinking of you, Jenny! Rest and let the pain meds flow. You’ll have enough pain with PT. Don’t forget the prunes. Or Miralax - mix with water and you almost can’t tell it’s there!
He had a cryo cuff for that - a lot less work for me than this is for him! I asked about it but the nurse said they don't work for this because the dressing is so gigantic that the cold wouldn't make it through. I have to ice the back of my knee, to,cool the blood down before it gets to the ankle.Payback for that shoulder surgery
No pain yet, nerve block still in effect. I know it will hurt when it wears off, but it's really weird not feeling anything. I can’t exactly describe it but there is some sort of sensation sometimes. Like when you feel your toes are crumpled up in the ski boot, so you have to take it off and reseat your foot, even though you KNOW your toes aren’t all folded up in there.Holy moly!! Wow- they weren't kidding when they said your Dr. likes to bandage! I hope the pain is lessening and the healing process goes well. thinking of you!
But elevating and icing are my job right now, so that's what I’m doing. I'm the best elevator/icer that I can be.
