Mane management... do you do anything special?

have shoulder-length hair that I just use Aussie Hair Insurance leave-in conditioner on & throw a hat over...minimizes the snarls for me (then again, I have curly hair, so maybe I just expect a certain level of "snarl" reguardless!)

There's another solution to having bad hair at the end of a skiing day.......baseball hat or a cute ski hat. I keep a ski hat (I have several fun ones that I choose from) in my ski bag to put on when I take my helmet off to hide the funny cowlicks that develop.

Tell me about those cowlicks - where do they come from?

I noticed funny little kinks in my bangs, since then I have made sure that I am not pushing my hair to tuck into my helmet or do anything that might cause this, yet they still develop. I don't remember getting them last season.

the funny cowlicks that develop

My fine hair that will not normally hold any kind of body or curl somehow manages to develop crazy cowlicks under a hat or helmet. Even in ponytails I look like I stuck my finger in a light socket, crimped it, slept for 3 days, then stuck my finger in the socket again for good measure, after I take off my helmet. I used to think it was my particular hat because every other woman in the restaurant at lunch has normal hair but it's even worse with a helmet. I started carrying a comb in my pocket but this is nothing that can be fixed short of a washing. I am so envious of women whose hair looks normal in the lodge.

I just keep mine very short and basically forget about it. (Well, there are times I might forget about it a tad too much - until I look in the mirror!)
