Do you ski once or twice a year? Once or twice a week?

Just wondering how often everyone here gets out on the slopes.

I got in 40 days during the '05-'06 season, but I'm hoping to do better this year. What about you?

I am SOOOO very jealous! I usually get 10+ days in but this year I am shooting for way more!

I am hoping to get 20+ days this year. It is hard with 2 kids still at home and working 2 days/week. The closest ski area is 1 1/2 hours away. I may have to pay hookey and let the boys fend for themselves a few times this year!

Winter is a slow season for me and my husband at work so WE SKI!
When it snows we plow, starting at midnight or 2 AM, and are done work by 8-9AM, so we load up and head for the hills. We are so lucky to have each other as partners, and to have the chance to ski when the snow is the best!

Yea, Me!

I managed 50 days last year, but its usually 30-35. Having a condo at the hill really helps. You want to use it, since you paid for it.

So,i finally worked out how many days i would typically spend on skis per year.. My final count came to around 245 days a year (depending on length of ski seasons, sick days, non-genuine sick days etc).

That however is kinda off as i would still usually be skiing here in Oz- the season ended very quickly (it involved alot of rain)!!

For the Southern hemishere- NZ had a wild winter... Oz kinda suffered!!!:(

Last year I started counting late in the season, so am uncertain about the actual number. It was somewhere between 35-40. The ski mountains are 2 1/2+ hours away, so this represents every single weekend in New England last year, and sometimes three day weekends.

I'd like to pick up and move to a mountain, but since that is not going to happen I'm adding Wednesdays and maybe another night this year. I'm getting older, and I have to catch up on lost time!

This will be a banner year for us with a full 15 days of skiing. We are usually only able to manage two ski trips a year, but are doing three this year. There are no day trip areas from Texas. :(

Since we moved, we'll be skiing more often. We can see the top of our hill from our second floor bedroom. We can be at our little hometown hill in about 5 minutes.

I imagine we'll ski most days/nights.

We usually do about 30 ish I guess. Whilst we're only half an hour from the slopes it's very difficult to get Mr Eng out of bed in time at the weekend (he can sleep for England!) and I don't like the idea of skiing totally on my own - doesn't seem particularly safe. I could (and have) skied with my best friend locally but her husband isn't terribly fond of socialising and wants her to himself at the weekends, which means us both playing hookey in the week which isn't always easy. No such thing as evening skiing our side of the pond

I never liked night skiiing, anyway. Too cold, too hard to see. IMO, you're not missing anything.

I like first tracks best, but often ski until close. I have to say, taking the view of the resort village is a sight to behold when its lit up at night.
