Jilly, I sound so smart and expert that you probably forgot I'm a beginner. I can't figure out if you're teasing or if you have a suggestion for me. :brick:

If you are slicing your pant legs, your stance is probably too narrow for the modern ski style.

That! Or you're lifting the inside ski while you're making a turn. (Just so you know...CSIA 2 Instructor)

I do sometimes lift my inside leg, but usually not that high. My inside leg was skittering around on turns, and I tried unweighting it because I couldn't translate the instructor's suggestion to push down on the outside ski into a workable movement. Usually it's pretty subtle, but I have actually lifted it on occasion.

Of course, there is just one spot where there are a couple of these tiny cuts. So it's not a continuous problem, whatever causes it.

I'll ask somebody to look at my stance. I don't think that's it but who knows?

I had a similar injury when I was about 8 years old after a horse bucked me forward while riding a western saddle. I landed to the side of the pommel of the saddle (thank goodness not the horn!). My mother was horrified when I told her I was bleeding and took me straight to the ER for a couple stitches. I feel your pain, and sympathize with your PTSD!

See, nothing needs to be pointy or broken.
