ski now work later
Angel Diva
I'm in!!!! You mentioned this idea to me last time we skied together, Ski Diva, and I haven't forgotten it as I've mused about next year's potential ski adventures.
I would prefer to explore two areas, three tops, depending on how many days I can get away for. The areas that interest me most are A-Basin, Breck, Copper. If we went to Vail, I would want to ski Vail for at least 3 days because it's so huge.
I vote for late January (after MLK Day) as it's farther away from my kids' February break. If not possible, then early February, or late February. I can't get away in March in '09 as it's our year to ski Smugglers Notch at the end of the month and I like to ski out West mid-season and then take what I've learned back East to practice for the rest of the season....
I'm a good planner and reliable, and would be happy to help out even though I'm not local (although maybe I get Diva points for having first cousins in Denver and Boulder and that I lived in Boulder 30 years ago when I was a college student :D )
That and the fact that Vail was my first introduction to skiing a big mountain in 1985 when I spent a couple of hours snowplowing (and huffing from the altitude). Something lodged deep inside me that day and I was hooked, though I had to wait another 20 years to satisfy that urge!
