Sorry for the late posting.
Let the reminiscence continues.
In this photo, Le Lounge opened in 2017 season.
This place is also named after a World Cup alpine ski racer, triple Olympic champion This is his home mountain. Back in the days, there was no such thing as corporate sponsorship. Athletes had to hold a full time job to fund their training. He was a custom officer, his job was to chase smugglers who smuggle $$ across country borders through the mountains. That's how he learned to ski fast.

Is it Heavenly? I know it's right on the shores of Tahoe, but this doesn't remind me of Tahoe for whatever reason.

Yeah, it's right on the shore of the St. Lawrence River. River is tidal there so lots of ice action - not to mention ships. Almost took a big tumble once as I was skiing down, watching a ship go by, not paying enough attention to where my skis were.

Other fun facts: It has the highest vertical in Quebec. The main "base" is at the top (though you can drive to the bottom base). It used to operate with no lifts - a school bus would transport skiers from the bottom back to the top - a fairly long drive I think. A new Club Med is being built - not sure I like that or not. The highest point was added onto some years ago (not sure how) to make it regulation vertical for an Olympics downhill - but the Olympics never came (and I'm told the run is scary). Great food. Worth a visit.

Always been interested in skiing in Quebec area but brrr it's freezing cold there, right? Of course, Taos and Crested Butte are probably the coldest places I've ever skied.

Can be cold, sure, but it's not always unbearably so. March is usually good. That's when I was at le Massif, in 2019. Almost went this year but Covid intervened. Best to avoid January when it's coldest. I ski at Tremblant all the time though try to avoid the coldest days. Although somewhere on this forum is a picture of @ski diva and @Jilly and myself - with not an inch of skin showing anywhere. Was chilly indeed that day!
