Why do you ski?

I ski because I'm addicted to it!!

I love mountains.

I love the feeling of moving on snow, the motion.

I love challenging myself.

It is just such an inspiring sport!!

Why do I ski?

So I have something to do between cycling seasons! ;-)

Because it is fun.

I am convinced if more people did stuff like skiing in the winter, they would not be as sad. I cannot imagine how miserable it would be to stay indoors all winter just because of a little snow. Its just so refreshing to be outdoors for several hours during the day.
Quite right! An excuse to get out and get some sun. Or else cabin fever can set in.

I used to fly down to Florida for a week in winter to get out of the long and dark midwest winter and get some sun. Since learn to ski, I would fly west for a week of sun and skiing. More fun, though more expensive too.

Now, skiing has become an excuse for traveling to odd destination that's often off the beaten path of the usual tourists.

Experiencing complete solitude, but also the tightest camaraderie.

Incomparable beauty - I'm always sad to see the snow leave the Wasatch.

Discovering new places and seeing things that blow my mind.

Learning that snow is a living, breathing organism that is consistently changing. It's infatuating.

Face shots.

The beauty of being able to see my work - tracks. No other sport leaves you a record of what you've accomplished.

The memories of the things I've seen and done. I go back to pictures and TRs again and again.

Knowing that every ski day is a good day, even if conditions suck.

I ski because it puts a smile on my face and makes me feel like a kid! It's also a great way to enjoy the outdoors – and good health – with friends.
