Wachusett is back open post ice storm!

I'd had plans to visit Wachusett last weekend to use a free early season lift ticket and get the BF a lesson. Unfortunately they got hit hard by the Northeast ice storm and had their power knocked out. However, I checked their website this morning and they are back open! Although there are less trails open than before the storm, I'm hoping to make it there this weekend for my first turns of the season, and the BF's first turns EVER! There's snow predicted for Friday, so maybe they'll have a few more trails open by then as well.

My husband has already been twice (before the ice storm) and said it was pretty good.
I hear Wachusett fed many of the workers and those who had been forced from their homes. Good for them!

Yes, their website said that their food service team helped out at a local school, I believe, that was one of the aid centers. They also helped clear local roads so cars and rescue workers could get through. Good stuff.
