I really like the proactive vaccination plan for employees and the requirement for those eligible for vaccinations are required to get them for snowsport school lessons. It'll be interesting to see if other resorts adopt the same policies.
My personal concern isn't the guests at resorts, but, rather, those in the communities surrounding resorts who don't get vaccinated.
In the dining section and applies to programs that have lunch.
Unfortunately there is only the gondola up Blackcomb!Love the vaccine requirement for staff and restaurants. I don't ski at the local Epic ski area, which doesn't have a gondola. I do have a Whistler trip on the books since my parents have a timeshare and we have to book that ages in advance. Not sure if I'll want to be in a gondola either but there are other ways up the mountain.
I'm really unsure about loading gondolas at full capacity with the Delta variant. The thought of being packed like sardines with a bunch of strangers gives me anxiety. But line ups to get up the gondolas last year were a nightmare.
I'm glad there is a vaccine requirement for staff. Wish there was for everyone or at least to load into gondola.
Unfortunately there is only the gondola up Blackcomb!
Further clarification from Vail:
A reminder that vaccines are only required for quick-service indoor dining, given their high-volume, cafeteria-style settings. They’re not required inside full-service restaurants, outdoor restaurants, or to use the restroom.
