believe it or not, skiing fast is not all about wax, terminal velocity, or f = m x a unless you're not turning. it also has to do with 1. the ability of your body to resist the forces that build up in the turn (i.e. strength), and 2. technique (how you resist these forces).
it is possible to learn to ski faster in control. if you're already an advanced skier making carved turns, you will need to learn how to build pressure earlier in the turn... take a lesson and tell your instructor that is your goal.
Of course, longer, stiffer skis, high fluro wax and piling on a few lbs won't hurt either!!
