Question: Driving in Heavy Snow: What's your deal-breaker?

I would drive that, if only all those other people would stay off the road. Comes from living in Vermont and teaching - they rarely cancelled school and you had to get there! But slowly. Very slowly.

Well, that's the thing. If the road to Crystal is like that, it's not so bad--it's not off a major thoroughfare, and there's no semi traffic. (You still have to decide if you want to spend the time negotiating the roads). But I-90 is the big cross state route, and the Stevens Pass Hwy is the second busiest. So there are all sorts of yahoos plus the big rigs. I-90 was closed all morning due to accidents and that's pretty common. So if you wake up and see the cams like that, there's a decent chance you aren't going to make it to the ski area.
