A friend is a ski instructor at the Canyons and is apparently happy that the connection with PCMR will give them a better place to teach beginners, as there isn't much appropriate terrain at Canyons, but plenty at PCMR.

I was also just thinking there was a lot of drama with Vail taking over the Canyons, but from my perspective, I don't see what changed other than cheaper passes. But they always had a... fancy resort conglomerate feel anyway.
