The 7-Minute Workout written up by the NY Times in 2013 was part of an increasing awareness of the HIIT approach. The concept had been around since the 1990s. One nice aspect of this workout is that it can be done anywhere there is a little floor space, a towel, and an appropriate chair for step-ups.
