Saw this yesterday and posted within a Vail thread, but definitely better to have it’s own thread. Glad it wasn’t worse, very scary! Also happy we won’t be going there after all, just doesn’t seem like the season for it at this point.

We had a discussion at my house last night, which included an engineer and a very seasoned Mt. Ops person. That lift had a very different mechanism of attachment than modern fixed grips and everyone wad pretty sure what the point of failure might have been.
