Who decides where you ski?

For me, it's a no-brainer.Most days I go where I have my season pass. But for those of you who don't have one, how do you decide where to go? Is it location, conditions, traffic, the kids? And whose decision is it -- yours, your sig other's, a combination, or the kids?

Well I usually stay in Vt all winter by myself so when I do go to another hill I usually decide and then invite my carless ski pal along! Terry

For regular season, we go where we have a season pass. For vacations, we both decide, and each pick a place we want to go (we like to visit multiple resorts with each trip). In other cases, I chose the destinaton one year, and Tim chose the destination the next.

We are now trying to decide what to do this coming season.... Beaver Mt. (less cost, closest), Powder Mt. and Snowbasin....

I really want to go to Jackson Hole this year for our big trip, I have wanted to go to the womens clinic there in February for so many years now. And this year I can DRIVE there. Hopefully I can convince the mister.

On Wednesday and Thursday our race schedule dictates where we go. On Monday, Tuesday, and Friday time limits and season passes determine where we go. On the weekends, $$, friends/family who may or may not have season passes, and various resorts' Nastar schedules play a role in our decisions....otherwise, it's pretty much an even split between the 2 of us for the decision making process.

Yep where I've got my season pass. The usually group of skiing buddies are tossing around the idea of going to Japan early next year to try out the skiing.

Season Pass = where I go. However, last year I didn't have a pass so it was how much I felt like sitting in traffic on I-70.
