Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Some of you might know that my brother patrols at Silverton Mountain. Well, weekend before last, Warren Miller and his crew were there filming. My brother was interviewed on camera and asked to describe some of the dangers that skiers might face on the mountain. Without skipping a beat, he said, "The bears woke up from hibernation early this year, and they are very hungry."
I'll can't wait to see if it makes the final cut! Look for him in the fall....
(And, by the way, it IS kind of true about the bears: It was very warm in early March, and they came out, and then it snowed a bunch again and covered up all their food sources. So they've had bear tracks all over the snow, and even found a few bear dens.)
