Switzerland - Spring again

Here in Switzerland most resorts are still closed .... all snow gone under 2000-2300m! Its warm at the moment like spring.

Some resorts are open Sat/Sun.
Davos/Klosters: Jakobshorn
Andermatt: 1 chairlift at Gemsstock
Flims/Laax: 2 skilifts on the Vorab glacier
In the southwest the galciers are open (Zermatt/Saas Fee) and maybe 2 other resorts have some lifts open.

It makes me mad to know that for the next 2 weeks there will be warm weather and absolutely no chance for snowfall!!!!!

Last year at the same time we had plenty of snow and most resorts where already open ....

We feel your pain, at least those of us in the Northeast U.S.
In the last 2 years, we had the same nice, early snow and good conditions as you did.
Not this year. :Cry:
Well, maybe this will all change. SOON!

I will go skiing saturday if the weather isn't too bad. Planned is a trip to Grindelwald (First resort)!!!

Was there last saturday (28.11.09 ) and there was no snow on the slopes!

Big Dump is expected for Fri/Sat ..... can't wait to ski in fresh powder!

Have you ever skied Murren? I know the skiing there is limited compared to Wengen or Grindlewald, but since I've had such an amazing time hiking there in the summer and fall, I've always been curious about it.

No I never went to Muerren ... always to Grindelwald/Wengen.
I think I should go skiing there one day .... just to see if its nice there too ....

It is snowing since tuesday evening!!!! Hope tomorrow my sore throat and fever will be gone ....

At least the central parts of Switzerland got loads of snow!!!! I think there are 12-30"!! See my new trip report for pictures ....
