Summer desperation.

Now that's good. We have sand dunes that by August really start to look skiable. I know that some of the teenagers have tried it using old stuff and landed in the lake. I'll wait till November. (If I can!)

Yes Wendy, I can totally relate. Great clip/ad. I am trying really hard to enjoy the great weather we've been having here in New England and to be "in the moment" but today when I scheduled my kids' next dental check up for January, I felt tingly with excitement that I'll be skiing again at that time!

Thanks for posting the ad; I loved it. I have to admit to occasionally slipping into a ski daydream....I like summer but there isn't anything quite like skiing for me.

This is a little difficult to describe, but as much as I hate the summer heat... By summer, I still miss cool spring biking weather more than winter. I just can't get enough biking in in those few precious weeks where the trails are finally clear but you're not miserably hot. So it's like I do get a full ski season (usually at least 6, maybe 7 or more months of skiing), but only a few good weeks of bike weather in spring and another few in fall. So in the miserable heat of summer, I'm usually wishing for just moderately cool temps so biking would be just perfect again.
