Stevens Pass 02/15/07—Wet & Windy

Ski Diva Extraordinaire
It was my spouse's (spindrift's) birthday today. So, despite a discouraging weather forecast, we headed to Stevens Pass Washington for a few turns.

As we approached the pass, it was pouring rain and the car showed the temperature as 37 degrees.

You know it's a wet day when the lifties use a squeegee on the chairlift before you sit down.

The snow was beyond slush, but we did some runs anyway. We both wondered whether a really fat ski like the K2 Poontons might have been a good choice for the day, but we did fine anyway. I skied on Volkl Auras, and he was on Gotomas.

It never stopped raining.

Great pix -- never been to Stevens Pass, but it looks wonderful, even in the rain.

Happy birthday to your husband!
