I got the following press release that contains a lot of info about season pass pricing for a number of Colorado resorts. Thought it might be helpful to pass it on:

COLORADO RESORTS ADD VALUE, REDUCE PRICES FOR NEXT SEASON’S SKI PASSES

Savings Abound As Resorts Begin Sale of 2009-2010 Passes

Denver, Colo. – April 14, 2009 – For the first time, instead of looking forward at the new season and new pass prices, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts are looking years or even a decade back to set prices for next season’s ski passes. Resorts make an appealing offer, selling 2009-2010 season passes at previous seasons’ prices and allowing guests to use passes for the remainder of the 2009 season. Some resorts highlight these offers with new financing options and other added value. Below is a snapshot of pricing and specials that Colorado Ski Country resorts have to offer for the 2009-2010 season.

Arapahoe Basin
Arapahoe Basin resort offers two pass options on sale at 2007 prices. Guests can secure these 2007 pass prices with a $49 deposit:

Arapahoe Basin Bonus Pass is on sale for $339 for adults and $249 for children. The Bonus Pass provides skiers and riders unlimited use at A-Basin during the remainder of the 2008-2009 season, as well as the entire 2009-2010 season.

Arapahoe Basin only Adult Season Pass is now selling for $279, the youth pass is selling for $189, and the child pass is selling for $109. These passes are also valid for the remainder of the 2008-2009 season, as well as the entire 2009-2010 season with no blackout dates.

Both passes include discounts at the ski area. The 2009-2010 pass prices are valid through April 30th, 2009. Prices may increase after that time. Bonus Passes are available while supplies last. Passes can be purchased in person at the ski area until closing day, tentatively scheduled for June 7th, 2009, weather dependent. The passes can also be purchased by calling 1-888-ARAPAHOE (272-7246) or by ordering online at www.ArapahoeBasin.com.

Copper-Winter Park
The Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus offers unlimited skiing and riding at Winter Park and Copper Mountain plus six days at Steamboat for $399, a $40 savings from last season’s debut price. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus price will increase on April 20th. The resorts offer an option of making a first deposit of $49 now, and paying the remainder by mid-September 2009. Please visit www.SkiColorado.com for more information. To book by phone, call Winter Park Resort Season Pass at 800-977-SNOW, Copper Mountain Season Pass at 866-416-9869, or Steamboat Season Pass at 800-922-2722.

Crested Butte
From June 1st to September 7th, adult passes, as well as family value packages, are $949, senior passes are $225 to $615, young adult passes are $199, and children passes are $135.

As a part of the Family Value Program, with every adult full season pass purchased, guests receive one free child or young adult pass. The Family Package includes one Adult Platinum or Gold pass and one pass of the same type for that adult’s legal dependent child, age 17 and under.

Crested Butte also offers its Platinum Pass. Platinum Passes provide unlimited skiing and riding with no blackout dates, and are valid for both the winter season and the summer season.

Season Pass Financing Program will be offered this summer for the purchase of all Platinum and Gold passes. For a $40 processing fee, Crested Butte Mountain Resort breaks a season pass purchase into four equal payments when customers place the first payment by July 31st. Additional payments will be due on the last day of August, September and October. Pass financing will only be available between June 1st, 2009 and July 31st, 2009. Financing will only be accepted with the use of a credit card. Please visit www.skicb.com or call 888-317-6482 for more information.
