Ski Music

Skiiing is Awesome, but if you can do it to music it can really make you dance. So what do all the divas out there listen to when they are floating, flying etc - down the mountain?

I don't ski with music...I prefer to just "listen" to my surroundings. I'm a huge music fan, but find skiing with music distracting.

Sometimes I'll have my tunes on if I'm not with a group. But I always have mine set to shuffle, and I have a very random collection of music on there, so for me it's not so much a choice of what tracks I am skiing to, but how my skiing responds when certain music comes on.

I've skied with music so infrequently that I haven't necessarily found a trend, you'd think that the beat is the important thing for rhythm, but I think I've skied better when I'm not thinking about the next turn, and the floaty music is good for gliding down the hill effortlessly, or there are certain tracks that have good memories and always make me happy and therefore give me a positive attitude to attack something I didn't want to do before.

Maybe I should look at this next season, and find what lifts me in certain conditions and then set up playlists. It will be interesting to see what we each find suits us.
