Okemo - any idea of the real snow conditions?

Hey, I was reading about Spring Skiing on this website and I also have mixed feelings. It is warm and sunny but I hate the fact that the snow "stop" my feet and let my body keep going. This is pretty much the last weekend Emilio's Ski Shop is organizing a trip to Okemo so I was wondering: has anyone been recently to Okemo & area? I assessing the risk of breaking my leg this season there!

Here I am!!!!

So here's the skinny: It rained all last night and today it's going up to 60 degrees. The last time I skied was on Tuesday, and though coverage was pretty good then, the snow had the consistency of wet sand and glop and looked gray in areas where it was super-saturated from the rain we got on Sunday/Monday. And bare spots were starting to show. Figure that was a couple days ago. I can't even bring myself to go over there today because I know I'll be depressed and disappointed, and that's only a 7 minute drive from my house.

Then I get an email from Steamboat: 62 inches of champagne powder in 7 days!!! And there's no way I can go there. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm frustrated???

Thanks Ski Diva!!! That's very helpful! Since I am a 4 hour drive from Okemo, I am feeling now that it might not be worth it. Hopefully, when I go next time, we will bump into each other and have better snow! It is so sad to see the end of the season!!! I want to go to Stemboat now!!
