Moose the Avalanche Dog

Crested Butte recently released this video about Moose, one of their avalanche rescue dogs. I know we have a lot of dog lovers here, as well as people who respect what these dogs do, even if they're not fond of dogs. So watch and enjoy!

In another life, I would have liked to do this work and train my dog to SAR work as well. I suppose if I really wanted too, I could still do this. I have a family member who breeds champion labradors. All their parents have hunt titles, obedience titles and some even have shown at Westminster. I just don't live in avalanche territory. Minor hiccup in the plan...

Nice! Most avy dog videos are just stoke. This is, too, but also interesting details about the process.
