Kastle: comeback of the year?

Heather

I've been researching the Kastle skis out this year. They have 3waist sizes: 78, 88, and 98. In Ski Press and Expertskier.com (aka realskier.com) the reviews are VERY impressive. So is the price-- $1180 for the MX 78 and it goes up from there.

Just wondering what other people think?

I hear they're getting pretty good reviews, but I don't know any particulars. A bit on the pricey side, though, I think.

I think that companies that are taking a shot at a resurgence will likely be pricey in comprison to the heavily produced and heavily discounted skis we've been accustomed to, in recent years.
I recall Hart among others being under scrutiny for their pricing as they rolled out the new product, while the profit margins were minimal.

I'm anxious to demo some Kästle skis to see if they live up to the tremendous history. I know I loved the Harts when I got on them. Maybe I'll add some Kästle to my quiver too.

A quiver Queen does need a Kästle, eh?

I'm doubly curious to try them since Kastle was my ski of choice for many years before the Volkls rocked my world.
