Some of you may know I've been nursing a shoulder injury and laying low. I got PT clearance to ski a couple of weeks ago, but we've had no new snow since Jan 6. I have been informed that "bullet proof" was being way too nice as a condition description.

Well they got a few new inches and the sun was out. So, I joined DH for his ski patrol duty day and skied the carvable groomers all day. Got my ski legs right away YAY and even hit one run of soft bumps. DH has NOT gotten gotten HIS clearance to ski yet ( collarbone) so I couldn't gloat. :becky:

Now all we need is LOTS of new snow.

not sore, been logging lots of trainer ( bike) miles.

DH, maybe in march sometime. His collarbone saga has been going on since August.

Good for you. It must have been thrilling.

Do you have full range of motion in your shoulder? How much strength do you have?

I can't exactly answer the strength question. I 'm not a total noodle on that side any more, but I am a long way from where I want to be. PT wants me to do another month of what I have been doing before I can do exercises that use the body for resistance ( ie, wall pushups, ball pushups etc)

ROM- it's pretty darn good now.I don't really notice that it is reduced on one side, but when the PT measures it, the numbers certainly show the limitation. The skiing felt surprisingly fine. I did one bump run. I think if had been more aggressive, really punching my poles plants I would have been very sore.

SO glad to hear it!

Hope you get the snow you've lacked in the region - maybe in time for your DH's triumphant return???? (hope so!)
