Help Needed: Goggles for new skier

Hi Divas!

I want to get my friend some goggles as an Xmas gift. I know she will have to try them on to see what is the best fit, but are there any recommendations. She would be skiing maybe 5 times a year, in east coast conditions, beginner slopes.

She wants something just to keep the snow and sun out of her eyes.

Thanks in advance.

Two recommendations:

Sunny days in the east are few and far between. The light is generally pretty flat. So I'd recommend getting a goggle with an amber lens. Also, you might want to check out some of the women specific goggles, since they're made to accommodate a woman's smaller face.

Does she wear a helmet? (I hope the answer is "yes.") Be sure she tries the goggles on with her helmet, to make sure they fit. Not all work well together, so definitely something to keep in mind.
