Just got back from opening weekend at fernie (Dec 3, Dec 4). Conditions were amazing. Deep deep untracked pow off piste! Excellent snow from top to bottom. So fun! They've also opened an impressive amount of terrain for opening weekend, including parts of curry bowl (I can give more details about what's open upon request). One does have to be on the lookout for stumps and be able to avoid alders if skiing off piste but overall it was an excellent opening weekend. Coverage on the groomers seemed good too and from what I did, they seem to be skiing quite well! Nice and easily edgable, no ice! Happy to have my 112mms!
