Closing dates?

This is sort of along the lines of a "death watch," but it's worthwhile to note when our favorite areas or local hills close for the season. So post it here.

April 8th seems to be the magic number around here. Although some of the smaller resorts have already closed due to the warm weather.

Crystal Mtn - Yesterday! :mad:

Their original closing date was 4/8. Our weather has been unseasonably warm, so they closed yesterday at 4:30, and I wasn't done skiing yet!

Okemo is projecting April 15th as the closing date,but I don't think they are going to make it. Terry

Southern Idaho projected closing dates:

Bogus Basin: April 8
Sun Valley: April 23
Tamarack: April 22
Brundage: April 30

I think Bogus Basin is being realistic...it is warming up fast!

Espace Killy prob 1st w/e in May if same as usual
Hoch-Ybrig - when there's no snow

We've got the best conditions of the season right now Only problem is, having skied nowt but ice this year, I've forgotten what to do with fluffy stuff :(

As of April 8th, there is nothing at all open in Michigan.

Yay Nubs! For taking care of their snow, and staying open until the 8th!!

Jay is supposed to be open at least until the weekend of April 21/22.

That could change if we keep getting all this snow. We're set up for two storms within the next 5 days.

Okemo's moved back it's closing date from this weekend (the 15th) to next (the 22nd). Two big storms on the way!

Is this God's way for making up for the crappy early season?????

Beaver Creek/Vail- Apri 15th

I've been skiing at both since Monday and will leave on closing day...the snow is incredible for April. We got 2 inches an hour on Tuesday....I'm not ready for the season to end!
