Bought A Drysuit (finally!)

bought myself a drysuit finally (it's past time....)

I'm going to be installing a relief zipper myself - anyone work with Gore Tex? Any tips you could give me?
(I was planning on basically cutting a "channel" for the zipper & Aquasealing it in (weighted while drying, of course)

I work with goretex all the time. Have you found a metal drysuit zipper after market? I wouldn't use one of the ski wear type that's all the rage now. For what that dry suit cost you, you may want to consider having it professionally done. I

I found the metal drysuit zipper (it's actually arrived already - just waiting for the Aquaseal)...considered sending it out to be done (when all is said & done, it doesn't cost any more than doing it one's self), but I didn't want to lose this whole spring season having it done...

I am pretty sure that if you install that relief zipper yourself you will be voiding the warranty on that kokatat suit..... which would be a shame.

Kokatat may offer that service. As for doing it yourself, how were you planning o doing the sealing?
