Shockingly, after a summer of no mountain biking at all, I rode twice this weekend. My sit bones doth protest.

Wish we'd gone to Spring Brook on Sunday, would have been cool to run into you guys. We played around in VBP instead, which was also fun, and humbling, as usual.

Yeah, that would have been great! We just did one loop, so we weren't there very long.

No surf, fog this weekend at beach, so family dirt bike session. Recent rain made the trails harden up and less dust. DH has a "red" sticker bike so can only ride during winter due to emissions so his season really doesn't start until October. Hot, very crowded (everyone else on a red sticker) and a few too many yahoos all beehiving .... nonetheless, DD really progressed -- I know the bike is small as discussed before, but one good thing is if she gets in trouble she can just stand up and let it go. Thinking going to modify the handlebars and just keep letting her ride the 50 until she gets comfortable. Its a lot of work and skill to ride thru the sand and loose gravel vs hard trail and going up and down hills.
Not surprisingly she is always seeking out the "bumps" -- if you look in the picture there is a very long series of whoopdedoos (washboard) that she is riding thru --
