I agree with MSL. If you can't flex in the house, go softer. It's all about personal performance level and that varies. My crazy testosterone son was still skiing a 70 flex boot at 6' and 180lbs. He skied perfectly fine. I bought him a stiffer flex because it was time for a larger sized boot and I knew he could ski it. The softer flex hadn't slowed down his skiing at all.
