Warren Miller lookout

With the nearing of fall comes one of my favorite annual traditions! Warren Miller's annual film

This year's film is called The Children of Winter (Never Grow Old). The world premier is Oct 22, 2008, but the rest of the tour is not yet announced.

Is it too early to start the look out?

Cheers!

Tradition for me is to see this at Boulder Theater with a few of my guy friends. I'm usually the only girl and it's a blast! Can't wait. :D

For me the new warren miller movies are all about the bennies!

My favourite ski stoke movies, of late, have been from Meathead films.

If you like Warren Miller films - keep an eye out for Teton Gravity Research's films and definitely Matchstick Productions. I still go see all of them at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen every winter anyway.

This was just posted on the Tremblant-insider:

Warren Miller movie, Children of Winter. It is coming to Boston in a couple of weeks, and according to the flyer everyone attending the movie will receive vouchers for lift tickets at the following resorts:

Stratton: valid 12/1/08 thru 12/19/08 or 3/23/09 thru 4/12/09 and Wednesdays 1/7/09 thru 3/11/09.

Smugglers' Notch: valid until 12/21/08 and good for 1/2 off after that.

Sunday River: valid until 12/15/08 excluding Saturdays

Sugarloaf: same deal as Sunday River

Waterville Valley: valid thru 12/19/08 and good for 1/2 off after that.

For the price of a $20 movie ticket that I was probably going to buy anyways, this is a hell of a deal!

Thank you Scotty, all the way from Mt Bachelor!

Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME 11/21 with shows at 6:30p and 9:30p. Tix are available through porttix.com. A yearly tradition for us, always a good time!

Same swag deals as Jilly posted. Note: the Sunday River & Sugarloaf tix become buy-1-get-1 free after the December cut off for free tix. Which sucks, it used to be a free ticket anytime during the season!!!

You also get a free year's subscription to skiing magazine :ski2:. That's a nice perk.

The "deals" associated with the Seattle showing are lame. Whistler 2 for 1....the first 2.5 weeks of December or April 12-May 18 only. Crystal Mountain, 2 for 1 after March 3rd, Mon-Thurs only. Etc etc.
