Volkl Tierra - input on length

Hoppin

I'm buying some Volkl Tierras, won't be able to demo them, and would like some input on what length to buy.

I'm an advanced skier, 5'7," 130lb. I ski everything.

I currently ski Volkl Attiva FiveStars in 161 and Volkl Auras in 163. The Tierras will likely replace the FiveStars as my all-mountain ski.

I'm trying to decide between buying the Tierras in 156 or 163. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

163 for sure. With your height and weight, you'll get more out of the longer option.

The only reason to go with the 153 is if you want to use them like an SL, and crank series' of short turns.

I agree.

I concur. Get the 163. I'm 5'3.5" 125ish and bought 156's in the Attiva AC3 (same ski as I understand just different name and top sheet).

I agree with the 163's. Have you considered the Fuego's? I skied both last spring & thought the the Tierra's were more all-around, but the Fuego's faster and more fun tho' more of a carver. The Fuego's are the women's version of Tiger Shark-10.

Hoppin, I am on the 5 stars, too. I am 5'3" and 135, and I ski 154s. Let me know how you like the Tierras. I'm thinking that's where I'll go next for my basic "take a PSIA exam" skis.
