Timberline--pow!pow!pow!

If you're in the PNW and want to ski, Hood's one of the places to be for sure...today, all three resorts should have nice powder.

DS and I went to Timberline, got there at 9. Snow started at about 1200 feet, near Welches, and continued all the way up. We got out on the slopes and it was nice, nice pow, not horribly deep but enough for good skiing (until it got tracked up by midday). And if you venture slightly off the groomer paths on the edges of trails, you can get into even more lovely powder stuff.

I did a couple of black diamonds today, which is a real step up for me. Conditions were right (I wouldn't try them on an icy day) but the pow made it just right for getting the feel of the steeps.

When we left around noon, it was still snowing...hard. Meadows, Timberline or Ski Bowl (and Cooper Spur)...all ought to be good.
