Help Needed: taking off my boots without pain!

Update:
Just got off the phone with my boot fitter and he said to come in and he can shave (cut) some of the shell back. He knew exactly what I was talking about and seemed to think it wasn't uncommon....

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'm going back up New Years Day for a week so will pay him a visit.

This is the best video I've found on how to get stuff boots on and off without a painful pinch.
--The most important thin is to open up the boot by pulling the tongue to the side, not forward.
--Then use two hands to press the two flaps away from each other.
--I always turn my foot slightly sideways to slip it into the gap I've just created. It fits in better that way.

--I also carry a small hairdryer and warm up those two flaps every time I put the boots on and off.
That makes the flaps softer and more willing to be pulled apart. My boots are stiff.

Problem is the lower part of the tongue on the intuitions is maybe a half inch. So there’s no room to pull to the side as hard plastic shell is right there. I’m going to the bootfitter when I’m up there next. He understands and said he might need to trim the shell.
