Skiing in Ohio???

Provincial that I am, I had no idea there was any skiing in Ohio. Shows what I know. While driving through Ohio today, I saw a ski area off the interstate, on the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Didn't look very big, but it was a ski area, nonetheless. Anyone know which one it is? And anyone here ski in Ohio?

Quite a bit of "midwestern" skiing in Ohio (everything's relative). Solincia was our Ohio connection - sadly, haven't heard much from her in the last year or so...:(

Of course you can ski in Ohio. Indiana, too!

Boston Mills and Brandywine are the areas you saw near Cleveland.

Mad River, Clear Fork (not sure if still open) and Bell Fountain are in the Columbus area and Indiana has Perfect North Slopes. (my home mtn before moving here) about 45 min from Cincinnati. Also, Paoli Peaks and Ski World in Indiana.

Yep, I learned to ski at Perfect North, just outside Cincinnati (but in Indiana). I think the longest run took about 30 seconds, top to bottom. :becky:

Those who made no turns could do it in 10 sec. and ski right into the bathroom. It was still a fun little place to ski. Not like here, of course.
