Reason to love my job (sometimes)...

I just got word that I'm being sent to CO in two weeks for work... and since I'm in charge of scheduling the "work" portion, I've got it planned to get 3 days of skiing (Sat-Mon) before working for 2 days!

I think my plan is to hit Winter Park and Copper (because I've got 2-for-1 coupons for both - thanks Warren Miller!)...since I've never been to either place, I'm hoping the Divas can provide some tips on the best terrain at both resorts? I'm a powderhound, can get down anything (but tend to avoid super-steep if there's no pow), and I don't *love* bumps...

Thanks!!!

Which weekend will you be here?

Copper, I highly recommend dropping into Spaulding Bowl and Union Meadows. And if it's got recent snow Sierra Lift has lots of good stuff as well. Also, do the cat and hike on Tucker Mountain. If you do want to hit some nice soft bumps Enchanted Forest is good.

Wow, the one weekend where I just can't meet up with you. I'll be coaching at Copper on Saturday (so if you meet a bunch of 5-6 team munchkins making their way down Spaulding Bowl for the first time say hi!) and my family is in town that weekend so Sunday we're skiing Vail. Sorry!

Aww! I would have loved to meet up to get a local's take on Copper! But if I'm there Saturday, I'll definitely keep a look out.

The good news is I have a friend in Boulder who boards, so I won't be skiing alone...but with him being new on a snowboard, I'm not sure he'd know where the best terrain is. That's why I have all of you!

I would say MaryJane at Winter Park, but since you don't love bumps...Copper is where you should go! I love Copper...only went there once last year and not at all this year, so I'll be jealous! Have fun!

I work Sats BUT I'm off on Sundays if you need someone to ski/guide you around.

Another question as I gear up for this trip... what's Parsenn Bowl like at WP? From the map and descriptions I've seen, it looks like it could be some great, not super-steep glade skiing, but am I wrong? Is it still bumps?
