Question: BCA Alpine Trekkers?

Does anyone have and use the BCA Alpine Trekkers? I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive way to break into backcountry skiing..... Thoughts?

They are much heavier than a normal AT setup, and they put you up pretty high, so it can be more difficult on traverses or doing kick turns. BUT - they are a good/cheap way to try touring. It's one of those things where if you have any fun in your alpine boots and a heavy, clunky setup like that - you'll know it's worth investing in a better setup at some point.

My husband actually has a pair he'd sell, if you want them!
