Question: Lodging near Stratton?

Divas: I'm heading to a PSIA event at Stratton in early December (midweek). I don't want to stay on the mountain. Anyone know of a good B&B or Inn nearby. I don't want to spend a fortune (i.e., I don't want Equinox prices), but I'm not necessarily looking for a place that is cheap. I just want something nice and relaxing. Thanks in advance.

You might want to re-think about it.

Why not stay on the mountain? Midweek in mid-December is really slow. Stratton has a lot of on mountain lodging that are sitting empty mid-week, they might be quite willing to make deals.

They are having an event and didn't offer a discounted rate for lodging?? Geez even the CSIA does that for our event coming up in December.

Yes, thanks for the advice. I know that Stratton is offering excellent lodging deals through 10/30 and we also do get midweek discounts for PSIA events. I know and have stayed at both of the lodges on the mountain and I would rather be off property.

did you check the Manchester, VT chamber of commerce or look online for their local newspapers?

Thanks, Kiragirl. I know how to find "a place," but I'm looking for a place someone has had some experience with.
