Donjoy or Cti Knee Brace

Hi Everyone
Just wondering if anyone has anything good to say about Donjoy or Cti
knee braces. I had an ACL, 2 meniscus repairs and most recently a microfracture tecnique done 4 months ago. All within a year.
I'm getting fitted for a brace tomorrow and for me it's a toss up I think between the Donjoy Female Fource, Donjoy Defiance or the Ossur Cti.
If anyone has any brace experience I'd love to hear from you.

I'm a certified athletic trainer and have dealt extensively with Donjoy. I also know several Donjoy reps. Can't say a single bad thing about the company or their braces. Really, you can't go wrong with Donjoy!

DonJoys are excellent, though I'm not familiar with the individual/different models.

Maybe you should put this in a separate thread, mcguinncat. Just a thought.

I have two Donjoy Defiances. (ACL reconstruction in each knee, and then 2 meniscus surgeries on one and one meniscus surgery on the other).

I have no complaints. I'm sure your doctor has explained that no brace can fully protect your knees. They are still suceptible to twisting injuries, but the extra support can prevent any hyperextension and protect from lateral impacts, etc. It's better than nothing, I think.

And the Defiances have been quite comfortable as well. I haven't had any issues skiing in them (even telemarking). Make sure they know you'll be wearing them with ski boots and they can make sure the part on your calf is high enough not to interfere.

loving my orange custom donjoy defiance. its like a bra...once you get used to it you forget you're wearing it.

i had ACL recon a year ago tomorrow and i'm mostly wearing it for contact sports only. it stays off when i'm running, hiking or riding the bike. i will wear it to ski this season, however. not taking any chances there.

good luck! knee problems are the worst, but its amazing what surgeons can do these days!

I had ACL repair with my hamstring, and my Dr. who is well known no longer believes in braces....go figure! I don't wear one..but do wear the CW-X stabilyx tights for a little compresion and confidence booster.
