Do most ski shops qualify there customers?

What do you Divas think? Does your ski shop do a good job qualifying there customers? Or do they sell you what's the most expedient thing for them. Just out of curiosty when you bought /or demo'd your last pair of ski's and/or boots. What kinds of questions were you asked to help the salesperson get a better idea about your skier type. What did they ask you to help them, help you, make the right choice of equipment? Just curious as to what your opinions are.

Oh that was posted way before my time. Thanks! Yuk! It sounds even worse than I thought it was!
