Advice on skiing somewhere near Lyon?

Attention European Divas.... I have a business meeting on 22nd March in Lyon and it seems silly not to take in a weekend in the French alps. We have no idea about where to go in that area though. Have skiied Chamonix etc before but that looks to be quite a distance away. Can anyone recommend somewhere a bit closer that would be good for a weekend trip?:noidea::noidea::noidea:
