As many women do who attend this race from around the US, it's possible for Ski Divas to create a TEAM - for the marathon, the half, or both.
2009 will be my 3rd time doing the half-mara, probably heading up to NYC from DC on Amtrak a day or two early.
Good news this year for under-40 women! The half-marathon rules are changed to allow women of all ages to run without having to be partnered with another woman over 40.
Race sponsors: MORE and FITNESS magazines, NYRR (Road Runners), Silk Soy, MBT, and Aquaphor Healing Ointment.
Race day is Sunday a.m., April 26, 2009, in Central Park. Join the 6TH RUNNING of this race, the world's only marathon for women over 40!
The weekend includes a fun (and nutritious) pasta party Sat. night, 25 April, at Tavern on the Green restaurant, plus an exciting health and wellness expo (with free "swag" stuff) on Saturday afternoon; cash and raffle prizes, a free participant shirt and a finisher medal for every registered entrant.
