What ski wax do you use?
I have been using Hertel waxes since they first went commercial in the 1980s. I do a 3:2 mix of HotSauce and Cold Snap/Spring Solution for the fat skis and the same mix except with FC739 Racing for the carving and race skis. I love that the waxes come in huge bricks, and I never have to change... -

I have also added the SOS in the 180 cm (109 waist) to my quiver, and couldn’t be more pleased. How are wood skis made in Michigan? Shaggy Skis Factory Tour 2022
They've been in 4 different factories in Boyne City. They're currenty in the industrial park on the north side of the road, east of McD's. Even if they're not having a demo "day", you can call them and pick up demos to ski for a day wherever you choose. -

Take a look at the Atomic Redster X9s or the Volkl Deacon series. Both are in the 70s and are going to keep the racer in you happy while maintaining a bit of versatility. -
