In your case, I would check with your local ski shop as far as an appropriate DIN level for your skiing type. You can tell the shop person where you ski most and what type of terrain you like.
I think more experienced skiers pretty much know when their DIN setting is too low or too high. I'm kind of an anomaly as an experienced skier but only 5'1 103 ish and over 50 (well over 50).... BUT I've been skiing 40 years....
