Ski Themed Gifts/Decor

In the DIY decor category... I really miss skiing with my son. We skied every Sunday and took a spring break ski trip every year while he was growing up. When he moved out I turned his room into a homage to all the good times we had skiing. I framed and hung all of the trail maps from every ski area we traveled to. I found some beat powder boards on craigslist and decoupaged some of our best pics onto them. The mogul skis were pawn shop acquisitions by my husband, too cool to just sit in the storage room. The Atomics were also wasting away. Now I smile every time I walk into our ski guest room:smile:

This is very cool.
We made a thank you gift for the Dynastar rep who married us.
It was a cool vintage Dynastar ski made as a shelf over the mantle of a fireplace to dry gloves and such.
We used hooks like old style locker hooks. He loved it!
Wish we'd taken pictures.

I went out to dinner with one of my good local friends last night, and she gave me these earrings made from old skis as a gift! I like that it tells you the make/model of ski they are from. Mine are from K2 Pon2oon skis sourced from British Columbia.

Cute earrings. Now repeat after me: "I do not need a pair...I do not need any more earrings.........".
