Oh sad news! We took his advice to move to a ski town a few years ago (for the winters anyway), best decision ever. RIP.

I read his autobiography about 6 months ago.

I thought that Seattle Times article was very nice. This was the main headline/article in the paper today.

Recently I went looking on You Tube for free, older Warren Miller movies and I watched a few of those. I'd never really been into the segments where he shows falls/crashes/beginner slapstick but this one had a segment of people tubing on a mountain above Palm Springs. The snow petered out onto a rocky surface. Over and over people either flew wildly off their tubes onto rocks or they skidded across the rocks after sliding off the tubes. I felt like a 12 year old boy but I was in stitches. Sometimes watching people be morons over and over can be so entertaining.

Damn. I read his autobiography about 3 months ago and just watched two vintage films last weekend.
