Mother's Day Weekend at A-Basin '09

I the midst of all the Diva fun, we took our Diva-in-Training skiing for the first time. The good news...she loved it!!! She even got her first powder turns. Next time, face shots for sure. Here are my proud mama pictures:

It was wonderful to meet Lovebug, Jilly and Lola and great to see Rachel again. Can't wait for next year...

Expo and Dynamite x 4!!

Yikes! I only do the above ones (Dynamite in particular) when conditions are ideal - and I mean ideal.

So, Jilly, what was your experience with Palli? If I understand correctly, you did it once?

And the cuteness of little Paige. I think little kids in their ski gear is the cutest thing in the world. (Well, perhaps until they start moaning or refusing to stand up - but it didn't look she presented that problem.)

Seems like you all had good time. Wish I was there, but too far away... It has been snowing like mad at my local glacier and I hope to go there tomorrow, if the road is drivable.

Lovebug - we had a great day on Sunday with that stuff. You did so well, and Lola too.

SkiBam, Palli is something that has to be done. Once your in you can't get out for while either. It's steep like Expo, but 4X longer and with snow. So if we get snow next year instead of that mix we've had this year, I'll be attempting Expo and maybe Dynamite. They pale to Palli.

Well, I barely took out my camera at all. I snapped a few at the Pug's gathering. When I walked in I had 2 small coolers with beer but I had forgoten that I also had a pb&j sandwich in there. It got cut up for appetizers! And Ty Pug decided he wanted my "recipe". :D

Well I unpacked my sportube to find a little note from TSA that they had inspected the baggage. Well guys next time be a little more careful when you put things back together. Nice little "oppsie" on the base of my skis near the tip. Can be fixed and these are going to be rock skis anyways next year. BUT!!

RachelV - United didn't manage to lose you boots did they?? I still think you should have just left them.

Oh noes!! TSA uunpacked ours too. Skis were packed with three days of dirty underlayers... Served them right. For future protection your stinkiest dirtiest clothes work great. Sorry bout the skis :(

Great photos, great fun, great divas, great bears (I mean the epic kind and the decretive kind), great skiing, great snow, great food, great drink, great friends . . . we just had a bunch of crazy greats!

FINALLY had a chance to go through this thread! Looks like a fabulous time was had by all!!!!! Great shots and I'm glad you even got some freshies while you were there!
