How many ski days did you get ('08/'09)?

Cool, I am a math teacher, so I like to play with the numbers, and believe me I ski because I love it and not to keep count of days, I live an hour and a half from the closest ski area and I teach Jr. High, coach both our boys and girls basketball teams, and teach a graduate level class at A.U. all during ski season so keeping track of ski days reminds me of how much I love the sport, no matter how busy I might be, it helps me to always find time for skiing. Plus I admit I am a "little" compulsive.....one day this season I counted runs so that I skied over 100,000 vertical feet in one day, now that was anal, but actually it was really fun.
Enjoy the snow at Brighton, I wish that I could join you (Snowbird is my absolute favorite mountain to ski, but Brighton, Solitude and Alta are way cool too, as for back country in that area, I have been in Scotty's bowl and the White Pine area outside of Snowbird lots of times, but I am sure that it is all fantastic...I hope that there are lots of powder days still in your immediate future, but for me, now it's time for hiking. skating, (roller-hockey)and softball.

Roe, since you're new and don't have enough posts to view the Diva's Only Darling area - we're doing a weekend on Colorado over Mother's Day at A-Basin. Teaching school might hamper that idea for timing - but?? Can I throw out a :carrot:

Have to admit my season is over. Last day was last Thursday for me in Utah. 47 this year. Fewer than last year. But I did a better job at my day job. Darn that paycheck.

But I swear, I was standing next to a guy on the tram coughing last Thursday, and he said, "sorry, I've had this cough ever since I got back from Mexico on Monday." "You're kidding," I exclaimed.

Nope.

Now I'm sure every muscle twinge I have is speaking Spanish to my bloodstream, saying, "swim, little virus, swim!"

Well, not really. But kinda.

I'm from Sweden, but spent the last winter in Val d'Isere. Just got home a week and a half ago.
I really, really recommend people to do ski seasons, it's great, you don't "have" to ski every day like when you're on a holiday for a week or two, you can just chill when the weather's too crappy. (Or build sketchy kickers on the bunny slopes and get harassed by the liftwaffe) Plus, the people you'll meet will understand the one thing your non-skiing friends don't.

As you said, Awesome.

I managed one last day before the winter season ended, so reached 44. Now the summer season has started, so might be getting a few more days in. Just need to go to work for a month first.

Well... "Facebook" says I have 112 days but I think it's around 120 for the season. A few more days at the Basin if weather is good and then I'm done!! (Hopefully my Denver friends are done!)

I can't wait to get out on the golf course!!:yahoo:

My total is 46. And that is only at 3 areas. Most were Tremblant.

But the last 3 were the best. Diva's rock!

A whopping 2 days! I keep thinking I've been away for most of the season but I haven't actually - I guess I just had too many other things going on. I suppose I wasn't in the right 'headspace', I kept thinking "well, I'm not going to spend +$100 on a day of skiing (day trip from the city) if I'm not going to enjoy it". Things calmed down towards the end of the season and I finally got out and had an amazing time. Even on closing day at Belleayre. I hope next season is going to be better.

I'm done at 37. I was foiled on my quest for 40 but I'm okay with that. If I really cared I could do a few more at the Basin but I'm just not feeling it. I'll probably spend some time over the next couple of days getting the geared stored so I have more space for my summer gear. :D
