Getting started on the tele's...

I'm just gonna start with the basic--how the heck do you get that cable pulled up into the groove on the back of the heel (I have the G3 Targa Elle). I finally got it...but only after loosening the springs all the way, then cranking them back down. I'm sure there are easier ways.

Other than that, just shoot...tell me things I need to know. The SO is teaching me, so we'll see how that goes. Fortunately he has the patience of a saint!

I don't feel qualified to teach anyone else to tele - there are plenty of instructors, online tutorials, films, and informative/fun books out there. That's how I got up to speed, just devouring the info. Good luck!
